About

About Alexandria

I’m Alexandria, an artist and an operations specialist. Creativity is the thread running through everything I do. In my career, I help businesses find clarity and direction. In my art, I explore texture, color, and landscapes as a way to bring joy and balance. Both sides feed each other: structured problem-solving sharpens my art, while art restores my energy and imagination for work.

Why I Do What I Do

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to both organization and making with my hands. During the day I work as an operations and admin specialist for a renovation company, which means I thrive in creating structure and solving problems. But I’ve also always needed balance — and for me, that comes from art. Sculpting, painting, sewing, and plein air sketching bring me rest and play.

Made by Alexandria is where these two parts of me meet. It’s a space for both creative consulting and creative making. Whether I’m helping a business owner simplify their systems or painting a landscape from my travels, everything here is made with intention.

What You’ll Find Here

My work lives at the intersection of play and craft. Each year, I release themed collections — originals and prints — inspired by seasons, travels, and moments that matter. Alongside those, I create one-of-a-kind pieces and commissions ranging from plein air watercolors to sculptures and fiber art.

My creative practice often spills into everyday life: encaustic wax greeting cards, quilled details, papercraft gifts, chalk murals, window art, and custom signs. Whether it’s a gallery piece or a handmade keepsake, everything I make is meant to spark connection, curiosity, and joy.

When I’m not creating, you’ll usually find me with a cup of peppermint tea, taking care of my plants, or working with a small Calgary renovation company where I put my love of structure and problem-solving to use. Art and business don’t compete for me — they balance each other.
